chapter 2
One interesting thing that I learned in chapter 2 was about the different stages of memory. It is very useful for teachers to know these so that they can focus their lesson plans in a way that will most likely register the information into the long term memory, which could be there forever. Another thing that I learned within this chapter was the difference between objectivists and constructivists. It was very interesting to learn about the difference between these two ideas about knowledge, I more agree with constructivists that we build our own knowledge. TPACK is a term that I had heard before, but didnt know much about. It was explained pretty well in this chapter, and I think it's pretty important to have the mixture of content, pedagogy, and technology.
A sentence that I really liked in this chapter was "making a conscious effort to match technology resources to problems that educators cannot address in other, easier ways." This is something that I will take into the classroom, using technology as a tool to help with problems. Another very useful thing from this chapter that I will use knowing the different stages of memory, and how to address them. This will be a very useful tool when trying to teach kids in a way that the information will really stick with them.
During this chapter, I was wondering about how you are suppose to know the right way to intergrate everything that they were talking about. My guess would be you have to feel it out and use what works the best for you personally.
